Uniformity & Flexibility

Candidates want to apply to all fitting jobs in a corporate group.
Subgroups, affiliates and overseas branch operations of a particular corporation are often found using dissimilar software systems for their recruiting and applicant management tasks. Applicants, however, prefer to find all job ads of a particular corporation on one and the same “master” website, enabling them to obtain a complete overview of all vacancies and the possibility to submit applications directly.

Harmonisation of various applications is necessary.
The unification of various system landscapes into a single lead system is an arduous task that generally requires great expenditure of time and money. Transition periods, provisional solutions and additional costs must be taken into consideration. And furthermore, one must also consider that many employees may be hesitant to accept a new system “forced upon them from above”, especially if the new system does not meet requirements quite as adequately as the previous system.

Once a complete system solution is achieved, other problems are quick to arise. Often, the new and improved system presents itself as all too heterogeneous, lacking important functions such as group-wide search functions, harmonised search criteria or a uniform depiction of job advertisements in adherence with the company’s design guidelines.
