The "War for Talents" & what's really important
Why a well-founded education is still of primary importance, even in the age of the "New Economy".
Until recently, as dictated by the so-called New Economy, talent and self-education seemed to be key ingredients for success. Unfortunately, the consequences of such thinking turned out to be disastrous, for all parties involved. Long-standing assets, such as university degrees and vocational training and the like, were no longer of any great import. Many employers, especially those with company names comprising at least one "x" and a ".com", went far to support this trend.
In the meantime, most employers have come to their senses and realised that work experience and an adquate education are in fact the most decisive factors of success. Nothing new here, as far as we are concerned. As per usual, milch & zucker continues to hold in high esteem the value of education and qualification.
